Terms & conditions

1. The CII reserves the right to amend or cancel this event or any booking. Should the event or a booking be cancelled a full refund of any registration fee will be made. The CII can accept no further liability in the event of cancellation, including no liability for any expenses incurred as a result of cancellation.

2. Your name, job title and organisation, as provided on the booking form, will be included in the delegate pack for this event and, where applicable and in accordance with relevant Data Protection Legislation, shared with other delegates and the event sponsors for networking purposes.  If you would prefer to opt out of this please email us at ciievents@cii.co.uk  and quote your booking reference number.  Please note that your contact details will not be shared and will only be used to contact you in relation to your booking.

3. If you have any special dietary requirements you must give us written notice at least 10 working days before the event and a supplement may be payable for special dietary requests.

4. Payment must be received by the events team prior to the event. If the balance is outstanding, we will require credit/debit card details at registration from the delegate.

If you require a VAT receipt this must be requested in writing to: ciievents@cii.co.uk

5. No refunds will be given for cancellations that occur at or less than 2 working days from the event date. If you wish to cancel more than 2 working days, but less than 7 working days before the event, you will be refunded 50% of any registration fee. And cancellations received more than 7 working days from the date of the event shall receive a full refund of any registration fee.

If you need to remove a delegate from your booking or cancel it completely please contact the Events team for advice using the contact details below. Please be ready to quote your CII PIN and date of booking (these items can be found in your booking confirmation email).

Provided the CII is notified at least 48 hours prior to the event, a delegate is able to send a substitute to the event.

In instances where the CII is forced to cancel an event due to circumstances outside of the CII’s control, the CII is unable to provide a refund for that event. If possible, the CII will make other arrangements or reschedule the event for a future date, however this is at the CII’s discretion.

6. The CII is unable to move a booking to another event, location or date.  The original event will need to be cancelled (incurring the standard cancellation fees set out in clause 5 of these terms and conditions and a new booking made for the chosen event).

7. The delegate is liable for payment of any applicable fees due.

8. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from the CII’s negligence, the CII shall not be liable for any special, indirect or consequential loss, or for any economic loss. In addition, the CII’s total liability under this Agreement is limited to the amount of the registration fee, where applicable. Furthermore, the CII can accept no liability for any loss suffered by any person acting or refraining from action as a result of the material delivered during or in connection with the event.

9. The CII reserves the right to film and photograph it’s events for broadcast on our website, future advertising campaigns, social media and press releases. By booking a place for an event you confirm agreement with the CII that you assign to the CII copyright, property rights and all other rights in any filming, recording or photography of you at the event, for use in all media.

If you don’t consent to the CII filming, recording or photographing you at the event then please notify the cameraperson or photographer at the time and email ciievents@cii.co.uk
