volunteer awards 2022

The awards are presented to volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding or exceptional service for their members at either a local, regional, or national level. 

The three categories are:

o   The Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence – unique contribution

o   Exceptional Service Award – regional or national contribution

o   Distinguished Service Award – local contribution

The presentation of awards will take place at this years Ambassadors in Action volunteer conference on Tuesday 17th May 2022 in Birmingham – with all successful award winners being invited to the evening reception which commences at 6pm.

The Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence – unique contribution

The individual receiving the Bridgewater will have achieved something truly outstanding and impactful in their field whilst demonstrating an impact beyond their immediate organisation (nationally and/or overseas).  They will have created something positive, unique and industry-changing that leaves its mark for many years. This individual will have done so for the good of the industry, not only their own business.

As well as considering nominations for this award the Panel will consider whether other nominations, for example for the Exceptional category, could be elevated to the Allan Bridgewater award.

Exceptional Service Award – regional or national contribution

This award will recognise those who have exceeded the requirements of a role at a regional or national level or exceeded the expected standard of a project on top of the requirements for the Distinguished award. This award also recognises those who have become champions for their local institute or regional PFS committee and are great advocates for the CII and insurance and personal finance sector.  They will be seen as a leader or role model that others see as pioneering or innovative and be committed to a role than benefits the wider CII or PFS community.

Distinguished Service Award – local contribution

This award recognises an individuals’ outstanding dedication and significant contribution to their own local institute or PFS committee in areas such as training, development, professionalism, and commitment to the local proposition. This person will show a significant contribution and support activities and development within their local institute or PFS committee.
