Welcome to the Love Your Liver Mobile Unit at BSG LIVE 2026!
The British Liver Trust’s mobile unit will once again be positioned outside the entrance to LEX on Tuesday 23 June during the conference. This year, delegates will have the opportunity to book a free FibroScan check to learn more about their liver health.
The aim of the Love Your Liver roadshow is to raise awareness of liver health and encourage positive lifestyle choices. Please note that these events are designed for awareness-raising purposes and are not intended to diagnose liver disease or actively identify individuals with liver conditions.
The FibroScan is being used as an educational and awareness tool to provide attendees with an indication of their liver health alongside a liver health questionnaire. It is not intended to be used as a diagnostic test.
How it works
The first step for those wishing to take part is to complete the British Liver Trust liver health questionnaire, which asks a number of questions about lifestyle and general health. Responses generate a personalised risk profile relating to the three main liver health risk factors: alcohol, diet and obesity, and viral hepatitis.
Attendees who wish to proceed with a FibroScan will be asked to provide consent prior to the scan. FibroScans will be carried out by local NHS clinicians.
If a FibroScan result indicates that further follow-up may be beneficial, attendees will be provided with an explanatory letter to support discussions with their healthcare professional. This will include context about the event and information relating to the scan findings.
